Integrative Counseling
Integrative counseling is a process of bringing the various parts of ourselves into harmonious alignment. We have all had that feeling of part of me wants to do one thing and another part of me wants to do the opposite. It is not always easy to make sense of these parts of ourselves pulling in different directions. It is normal however to have multiple motivators in our life. We as humans are complex beings.
Sometimes though the internal parts get jumbled up or some voices get repressed for various reasons. Some voices get too loud. Over time this can cause quite a bit of dissonance. At times like these, it’s nice to have a trusted fellow traveler to help make sense out of the internal chaos. Most of the time, it’s not about finding out what is wrong with us, but rather the discovery is about finding out what is right about us.
Integrative Counseling with Douglas brings a sense of peace and confidence. The process is one of the discovery of your authentic self. During integrative counseling I listen for when the real you speaks. Because of my training in deep listening I often hear what has previously been overlooked.
I listen for the missing key. Once the key is found you can chose to use the key and open the door to your own core transformation.
